Offline Marketing

Offline Marketing.... What can you do?

Kites

When I am not busy, working up a storm at home with my home business. I like to take some time and refresh and revitalise at the beach. I have made this even more fun by getting back to something I loved as a kid which is kite flying. Kite flying is not just a kid thing, although it is a great family outing, any more with the evolution of kites, and what they now can do.

Kites have been a part of human history for Centuries, believed to have started in the Asias, with confirmed history from China. Earliest kites are thought to have been made from leaves and then silk and bamboo, circa 5th Century BC, invented by a Chinese philosopher Mozi. From here kites later became made from paper and to today where ripstop nylon and fibreglass are materials of choice. Kites have had many uses from their beginnings which include message carrying, military banners, use in meteorology, wireless communication and scientific uses including Benjamin Franklin's proposal to fly a kite into a lightning storm. For an even more history of kites check out the web there are many links as kites are still popular around the world.

Having evoloved over the Centuries, kites now are mainly used for recreation. And with this there are kite shows and the like held around the world. You can pretty much get kites made in many different styles from the more traditional diamond style to box kites, parafoils, and even well made 3D animal likenesses. You can also now find 'stunt' kites which are controlled with 2, to 4 lines, I have a 2 line which keeps me on my toes...(Plus I only have 2 arms!!! XD ) and the very popular kite surfing. Which is very popular here in Cairns. And I must say looks like a great workout and a lot of fun. My next step to to take a few lessons in kite surfing and experience what it is like.

Have you Tried to get out there on YOUTUBE

Hi there all,

I have been having a morning of videos, which can be a super platform to get messages across to anyone and everyone. I am still relatively new to posting and uploading videos to YouTube and to my other sites, but videos are fast becoming the best viral way of sharing your story. And I do mean story, absoultley having a home business, videos can help with your advertising, but people also want to know what makes you tick. Not just the Business Person, the human!

Once you have sign up to a video site, like YouTube, you have access to the things that interest you and you can also upload videos of your message and things that make you tick. And also having membership to these video sites also means you can share your videos seamlessly and easily to any other sites you may have for you home business or more information about yourself and interests.

You can also subscribe to other users who have information that you like as well and be able to keep up with what they are doing and of course sharing information is helpful to you and everyone else.

Things to remember.... Video is super Viral and accessible... so give it a go!!

Check out my Channel at YouTube, which shows what I have uploaded and some of the favourites that I have found and feel are important to what I am trying to achieve and show my interests.

How many is too many Social Media Sites?

Hi there folks,

I have a quick post for you today and I hope you all have an input into what you think as well. I have just come from my Face-book account and all is good, but more and more I have my contacts and friends asking to join them on more and more social media sites. Do not get me wrong here folks. I am a self confessed social media addict, always checking out what is going on. And certainly in reguards to building a presence online and providing much content, as part of my home business work and attraction marketing but, really how much can you produce week in week out. I now have 2 blog sites and 2 'article' sites where you can catch me, and please do. Add yourself as a fan or friend and I will do so for you and your sites, sharing is caring. But can there be a limit to how much you can out out there?

In some ways and mostly I think not, but at the same time you must be ready and organised to maintain and keep focused on what you are trying to do and that is be a valuable member of the social media circles so that you become an source of best content, ideas and in turn get floods of people to join you and what you are doing and in time be those red hot leads needed to continue to build your home business. I love Squidoo and Hubpages for writing articles for information and even fun. I am an avid user of Face-book, Youtube, Twitter and Digg to make sure that I have many avenues to get my messages across and they all can work together and independently. And of course my newest information site MslilPetaMattschoss.com. I have all of my content and fun and opinions here and again this can link into other social sites, but how would all these people who are members of everything keep up. I guess that is the question! I am very happy with my set up and enjoy the surfing around and updating and posting...it is what I now do and enjoy. But as much as I think I would love to be everywhere, I think to make sure I remain as valuable to you, my valued followers and casual readers, I will remain as I am and keep pushing to become No1 in Googles search engine results to take me even further.

Cheers and as always Live Life NOW!

Quotable Quotables

Hi there all,

Since my last post I have been very busy with working on a new information site which documents some of the things I have done and worked through for my home business. This has kept me away from here for too long but has also helped me find some excellent quote sites for those who love to have quotes to inspire them and even back up what they think and feel. I have always been a big fan of motivational and inspirational quotes, and with my sense of humour there are some great funny quotes out there too. So todays post is all about the quotes and those which I like. So enjoy the quotes and add to the post if you like, as I am sure that I will not know where all the best quotes are hiding on the net, and I am also positive that I have barely scratched the surface with the few I post below.

Again and enjoy, and always remember Live Life NOW!

Advertising on Twitter - Automated & Free

Hi there again folks. A short and sweet post for you today as I am very involved in a new information site for you all to come too and get to know me and some of the information and ideas I have for building a strong online home business and some of the tools I use which helps me stay organised and busy with enjoyable challenges and lots of fun along the way.

I have been pretty busy again with some Twitter applications. If you haven't guessed I am a bit of a Twitter addict, not that this is a bad thing. There is so much information shared, I am also following some very down to earth people who like to have a laugh and don't sell every tweet they post. Remember, you don't want to be a pushy sales person, it will only do you harm in the long run. Not saying that I do not advertise my home business on Twitter, I do, but not constantly and neither with the affiliate programs I have to help monetize and create cash flow for my home business. Every now and again to keep up the message and certainly not as a Direct Message in reply to someones follow.

Anyway, I have digressed a little from my main topic today. Free advertising on Twitter. Yes it is available and it can be automated so you can place specific ads at times to suit you or your perceived target audience. Twittertise is a great, FREE, program available for you to do automated advertising and also will provide reports on your posts. There is a little work involved. You will have to complete each ad one by one, but what I do is reuse an ad that has worked on differening times or days and do this in advance to stay ahead of my scheduling. Cut and Paste has been my main focus in setting up my scheduling, but if I can advertise to an audience while I am out and about or overnight, why not? Of course you can get other scheduling software for Twitter, for a price, but I like this as it fits into my advertising budget at the moment - Free is a great price!!

Yep - short and sweet like I said! Hope you find Twittertise as useful as I do, or share what you use to advertise automatically.

Cheers and Live Life Now!!

Communicating with customers/clients with their Buying style

Whilst I have been busily reading and researching and putting into practice my network and attraction marketing, (more information and blogs to come), I have remembered some of the sales training I had when in sales management, with customers and their specific buying styles.

With Network or Attraction marketing we are specifically looking to attract the right customers/leads to us who want our information or products. But wouldn't it be even better if we could communicate with them, whilst just talking and listening to their needs, wants and goals, in their particular buying style? In my opinion well - YES! What I am delving into here is not anything new, but when I started to pick up on customers buying styles and even friends and family, communication was definitely better and was specific for the customer. I know that there are several buying styles within the population, so I am just going to touch on the three 'more' dominant groups and from there, list some of the word clues to look for so you can go off and practice on your friends.

The three buying style groups I have worked with, from my training and with my employment and now with my home business and the leads I talk to, are Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic. I am a kinesthetic person, and how I describe it - a touchy, feel(y) buying style. Visual and Auditory buying styles are little more self explanatory. The Visual person will 'see' what you are saying and the Auditory will like what they 'hear'. So what does this mean for you and communicating on each persons level, in terms of their individual buying style? Well it is all about putting up your verbal clue radar to firstly find out which of the three you are talking with, and then using the words that sit in each group and that individual relates and responds to the best. So from the lists below, and of course these are just a short list of the many and varied key words you can pick-up on and in turn use, keep practicing and listening in every conversation you have and you will find it easier and easier to start communicating with your clients, customers or leads in no time.

Visual Words - Aim, Bright, Brilliant, Cloudy, Draw, Envision, Glimpse, Inspect, Notice, Visible

Kinesthetic Words - Absorb, Bend, Cool, Electric, Grab, Link, Play, Point, Support, Steady

Auditory Words - Announce, Boom, Converse, Discuss, Express, Hear, Listen, Noise, Tell

So remember, listen to your conversations.Pick up on the verbal clues, and there are many many more words that can be used for each group. Then add them into your answers so that you are communicating with the same buying style as the buyer/client. This will in turn prove a winner in your conversations and any communication.

If you would like to add to the lists please point, express, or show me in your own post below. There is also much reading available on the net so go forth learn more and communicate even better than you already do!!

Have fun and of course - Live Life NOW!!!

Cheers

Old Sport - But still Popular

Wood Chopping - Something I have always enjoyed watching!!

Yep, I am a bit of a sports fan have always been and will more than likely always be! I like the high profile sports, AFL (Aussie Rules Football) - Go POWER!!! - Basketball (Which I played for many years even only being 5ft nothing in height), Tennis (I played this too!!! Whoo Hoo), Cricket and some other well advertised and popular sports. But I am also largely interested in the smaller, and in some cases, lessor known sports, which in their own right can entertain a crowd.

One of these lessor know sports, well not really lessor know in Australia, as we have had many world champions of this sport, is Wood Chopping. I first saw this sport when I traveled from the Barossa Valley to one of my first Royal Adelaide Agricultural Shows. Agricultural shows are held in all capital cities in Australia, and I like to explain them as where the country comes to the city... as well a lot of stomach churning rides and other variety of entertainment, and exhibitions. Since seeing or experiencing my first viewing of wood chopping competitions I have always had a particular interest in getting to see an event when I can. It is a sport for all ages, in the clip above the expert chopper closest to camera is in his 70's (A Malanda town favourite) and the chopper who starts last on 44 seconds (Blue shirt) is 23, so definitely can be for all ages. Although you will mainly see men in competition there are ladies events. (Lucky!!! not that I could compete, but good to know if I wanted to.)

The above video is from my recent visit to Malanda, small town in the Tropical North Queensland Tablelands. This town recently, the week previous, had had its own Agricultural show, which had wood chopping, but these choppers, some local and some from various other states, had stayed on for a final display for the Malanda Pub birthday celebrations.

Enjoy the clip, my very 1st upload to the net, and if you get a chance take a look at this old, but still popular and at time spectacular sport live! (Check the program guide for your cities Ag Show.)

Cheers and remember - Live Life now!!!

Where can you start with a home business

Hello there all,

I have been busy trying to set up yet more web pages and content for you all to read, so apologies for not posting for a week or so. Even so I have sat back and thought about the people out there who are looking into their own home business or have just started with their business, but aren't overly sure what they could do first just to get the ball rolling and start feeling comfortable. Below is an idea which, even though only a small step can be quite important in the big picture!

Ok... You have chosen your new path in life and have decided to work from home. GREAT!!! Where DO you start! I had the same burning question myself. I guess if you could have been in the room I would have looked like a rabbit in the headlights - frozen - with no real escape plan! But I managed to move forward and get myself onto the net with a lead page, online office system, email accounts, Skype, domain names, web hosting, advertising and many social media accounts to make myself known to the world. So depending on your home business, there are certainly some things that need to be setup before others.

You will need, pretty much foremost so that you can start signing up to social media sites, a separate email account. YOU DO NOT have to, but I recommend it! Why? Well I figure your private email is for your private emails and work is for work. Truth be told I have always had a 2nd online email account, so when I signed up for things of interest, all the advertising and in some cases spam would go there and not to my private account. Of course there are many online email opportunities out there, but for business I would recommend Gmail or Yahoo as they will also help when you start using the same companies for other accounts like Pay-Per-Click advertising and so on. Most online email accounts are free to join and easy to use. Gmail also allows online chat if you have friends etc who use that system and other functions as well. Take a look and get yourself an account or 2 or 3!

Hope this helps a little or a lot and remember Live Life Now!!

Cheers

Building a Web site

Hi there all, it has been a while since my last post, but I have been keeping myself busy building a web site using the software on my iMac. I guess that is a pretty good excuse as to not posting lately, but it is not all in vain!! I think I might have some information that will help those out there building or thinking about building there own web site to enhance the "shop front" for their home business.

I am using the program iWeb, which is a standard software addition for iMac and Macbooks. I will kinda apologise here to PC users as I am, now, an avid Mac user...NOT that I dislike PC so please don't think I do! I still have my PC laptop in my cupboard and I still use it from time to time for some of the programs I have on it. It seems to me that the iWeb programs makes it quite simple and easy to follow and add in content to form the type of web site you want and, as long as your web host has the capabilties, you web page can be uploaded to your brand spank'n new domain name that you have aquired, again using your web host. I am still shopping around for the web host to give me all the functions I am seeking. My current 'Landing Page' is hosted and maintained by EXIA and Australian webhost company, and certainly good at what the do. They also built the webpage that you can view at the link in my profile. Having said that I am also a bit of a go getter and like to have a bit of a 'muck around' with what I have at my disposal and of course I benefit from this and so does anyone else who follows as I will always try and give the best available information I can. Some webhosting companies that have made my 'short' list, if you can call it that, include - Justhost.com, Godaddy.com and bluehost.com to name three. Follow this link - http://b2evolution.net/web-hosting/top-quality-best-webhosting.php - it will give a list of webhosts and what they offer, a good way to start your webhosting shopping, as it were.

Of course you will also have a domain name for you site to be posted to. Most webhosting companies have the capability for you to search and see if your domain name is available and if it is, snap it up before someone else comes up with your good idea!!! Alot of the webhosts also have web site building capabilities as well, which, if you are like me and like to have even more control over you page, is great. I have found the following web building site also which is easy to use and very popular. Going on the success of the pages I am building at the moment, I will probably work my next site from here for something different! Here is the link for you to check it out - http://www.sitesell.com/lifeliveitnow.html - I have not fully looked throught this whole site but it is recommened by many of the people I follow on the net who also build their own sites and so on. I hope this helps out a bit for your new adventure into web page building for yourself and gives you a choice of webhosting and so on.

Cheers for now and happy building and remeber - Live Life Now!!

Law of Attraction & my experience!

I haven't posted for a bit and have been wrestling with myself on what to post - so here goes... I actually have been looking back at the past 3 months which has encompassed having many things change in my life. As I look back and from the amount of reading and studying I am doing on Law of Attraction, I have noticed that many of the things that have happened, good and bad, have come from the way I carried myself, talked to others and even thought. Not just on a day to day basis but also hour to hour!! So, if you asked me do I think that there is something about the practice of thinking positive, being positive and seeing your results, and you asked me right now, I would have to say definitely there is something to it!!

One of my favourite pieces of information from the reading and completing of my 'Discovery' (as part of my Life Path Unlimited Discovery Series),course is that the universe, God, your spirit guides or how ever you explain and whoever you ask is that between positive or negative, the universe knows no difference. What do I mean!!?? Well from what I have seen happen to myself and from what I discovered from my study is that what ever you put out into the 'cosmos' positive or negative the universe will endevour to provide. The universe doesn't know what is good or bad for you and will not sit back and say 'hang on a tick are you sure that is what you want?', it does as it is told and starts the ball rolling to provide the finish that which is started. Be it a mere thought, and mostly it is the mere thought, it starts what I call the chain reaction which leads us to the end result. I will be honest with you, I have seen this work in BOTH ways, positive and negative, in the last 3 months of which I have been pondering over the last few days. I was made redundant from a well paid management job, this happened the day I returned froma weeks holiday away. During this time away, all I did was worry if I had a job to go back to and I even said as much to closer friends and relatives and guess what, all I did was get the ball rolling for losing my job!!! In hindsight it is the best thing to have happened to me as I am certainly less stressed and enjoying my new venture of self dicovery and working from home, but it just goes to show that the universe will provide for you, but, it doesn't know good from bad. It just listens to what you put out there!! Don't worry I have had some positives happen in the last 3 months as well and I know that with my studies and adjustment to my ways of thinking more positives will unfold before me.

Well there you have it, what I have been pondering over the last few days. I am no expert, but I can speak from what I have experienced. There are many many sites out there that have information and interesting reads about the Law of Attraction. I do post a few links on Twitter which can help you if you want to get out there and learn more or find others opinions.

Enjoy what is left of this weekend and I hope you enjoy what I have shared.

Cheers for now and Enjoy Life!!

Letting Go Of Expectations

Expectations .... what are they? Do you have expectations of what you want or what you want from others around you, or from life in general? I know I do, and there is nothing wrong with having expectations of things to come, but one and including myself here, needs to know that things don't always pan out as expected, but ultimately what ever happens in all situations expected or not, can still lead the way to our desired expectation we started with. Whoa... That is a bit of a tounge twister, but I have seen it ring true in my life and very recently too!!
I have huge expectations of myself and never more so when I was employed and worked as an employee. My expectations of myself included making sure I was as close to perfect as I could get myself, expecting the same from staff, which is a huge mistake. Working much harder than needed rather than stepping back and looking at the big picture as a whole and reaching goals/targets using the classic each step at a time rule for achieving great success, otherwise know as my favourite saying, working smarter.

I am now working at home in a home based business, of which yes, I have great expectations, but I have also rewired my thinking to include the GREAT Expectations along with the fact that I may not reach them how I expect. An example of my thinking; I may get 5 - 10 leads a week, great! Just what I expected, people are following my ads, but I may not get the conversion rate I expect from those leads. I can tell you now and honestly, if this was happening 6 months ago I would be a bit of a mess! (and don't worry I do still expect this, but I also know that like the majority of expectations, it will not be instant!)I know now from all the extra learning that I am doing, alongside all the marketing, social media and sales for my business, that I am on the right track, but I need to let go of the expectations which can limit you to actually reaching great success. I expect the unexpected, which in turn will lead me straight to my GREAT EXPECTATIONS!! I expect no less than success, but I have also let go of expectations to see a clearer and easier path to follow.

I have included a link below from an article by Katie Freiling of which rang true to me and prompted my thoughts today. Follow that to her thoughs and inspritation.

Design Your Own Twitter Background!

Hello again folks and hope you are enjoying you Saturday... I certainly am, I haven't done much and sometimes you need days like that, but I have been having fun learning that you can change and edit back grounds in Twitter. I certainly am no super guru, YET! But I would like to say that I know a little about a lot of different things. But since I have decided to become a social media newbie and certainly growing in my presence both on Facebook and Twitter I think it is also great that you can indeed be the individual that I am and definately you all are as well. I also think that if you show that certain creativeness you are showing prospective followers that you also care about what you are doing and therefore certainly will care about what you post and indeed the quality of your links that you share from other quality members of the Social Media community. There are many many great people out there that have absolute mastery of this new internet boom and I hope to share some of these 'masters' down track. I hope to post/share links to them and ideas and finds that I find on my treasure hunt through the internet and the many posiblilites of the Social Media and it capabilities of helping those who want ot be known over the internet whether for a home business, share their knowledge or just connecting with people!! Enjoy the below link... It is a free to use site, which is always good and the capabilities are not, in my opinion, limiting because it is a free to use site. The developers are on twitter and as a service to them for their service I am following so they get known out there too.

Who else loves DICE?

So I guess you may be sitting back and going... Who actually likes Dice? Those plain 6 sided cubes that are always lost when you want to have that Monopoly or Snakes and Ladders game, which you have decided to dig out from the back of the cupboard because you are bored to the point of no return!! And, you know to some extent you are correct, but I am here to save the day for those poor defenseless pieces of cubed (and many other shaped) bits of plastic. I reckon now you are asking is MslilPeta actually for real... has she lost a couple of marbles upstairs??? Simply put NO I haven't (in the nicest way ... truly :p ).. I collect Dice or Die or how ever you want to pluralize the word!!!

Starting only about 3 years ago I decided that my love for all things games, video/computer games, traditional board games and cards, I would start a collection of dice as I new that they did come in a huge array of number of sides, colours, materials and the like... Serious! Dice can range from 4 sided through to 100 sided and can be made out of many different materials. All I can say is I love 'em!!! And now that I can spend more hours on the internet with my home business I have more time to search the corners of the earth for those dice I don't have yet and may not even be commercially available any more or ever have been. Dice collecting also has added to my life in so much as the amount of people, family and friends included generating their own interest in what I have collect so far. Many of my dice come from overseas so when I was working as an employee for my last job my staff and territory manager always wanted to be in on the act when a new shipment arrived.. Dice are the great conversation starter, and interest generator... Again.. Love 'em!!! I will even share a pic with you all ... Enjoy and any questions just give me a hoy!!! Don't be shy... :)

And always remember Life - LIVE IT NOW!!!

Cheers till next post - what will the subject be?!!!??? Stay tuned!

Have you ever lost track of the days???

Have you ever lost track of what day it is.....???

Don't worry SO have I on more than one occasion. Most of Australia has had a long weekend this weekend past, and I am happy to have had that so called long weekend to myself...I did do some work as well why not!!! Why would you? I can hear you all asking... Well to tell you the truth I am totally convinced and focused on my new home business that it doesn't matter what day it is or if it is a long weekend or not. I have ample time between the many and varying online commitments that I literally can say that I have a long weekend 'so to speak' every week. And with this in mind I do lose track of the days - sometimes!!! But that is all ok.

I also remind myself that time can and does fleet past so quickly that I have to remember to make sure I live Life... LIFE LIVE IT NOW!!!! I think we can all forget this at times, and I will be the first to tell you that I used to live to work, but I am very serious when I tell you that I now work to LIVE!!

Cheers for now and have the best week and Live Life!!

Hello, Hi, Guten Tag, Yo!, Hey

G'day to all out there and beyond. Welcome and start talking, laughing, commenting or just say Hi. I am starting off easy and hope you, your friends and anyone else want to cruise past and say hi or get involved in any and all discussions that start here.
Fear is not an option and I can vouch for that... Fear is the barbed wire fence in front of your next success!!! Go on jump it... I did! (and I am only 5 foot tall - t'was a BIG Jump)

Looking forward to the constant chatter and blogging go for your life!!!

Cheers
